Rick Steves summed this place the best: “Stretching before me is a European Niagara Falls, diced and sprinkled over a heavily forested Grand Canyon”. And that’s exactly what attracted me to this unique UNESCO World Heritage site that has emerald-colored terraced lakes (16 of them) and several pretty waterfalls. All are wonderfully connected with a wooden boardwalk, and the trail among the trees is peaceful and serene.
